We are running this daily chat thread on Head for Points during the coronavirus outbreak.

Historically, the daily ‘Bits’ articles were the de facto repository for random comments and questions. With the news flow being lighter, we are running fewer ‘Bits’ articles.

The comments under this article are where you should post questions about travel and, indeed, anything else on your mind. At this tricky time, and given that many of you are at home, we want the HfP community to have a place to chat.

Please only comment under the main articles on the site if your comment is directly related to the topic of the article. This has long-term benefits as it keeps the commentary relevant for people who read those articles in the future.

  With immediate effect we will be unable to process any transactions using your Bendy Card where the transaction is allocated to your Solihull issued credit card.
  
  I only got my Bendy and Solihull cards last week and so far only put £500 on it. Is it just me, or anyone else had the text?

Sorry to deviate away from today’s hot topic but need to spend close to £500 on ebay. Have 8x additional nectar points offer in nectar app plus 0.85% voldemort, anything else I’m missing? Can’t think of any voucher opportunities using morrisons route….

  Don’t forget that you only earn the maximum of 300 base points per item on eBay, so buying for instance a smartphone at £500.00, will only award you 300 points, excluding any bonus points offers, so under the current promotion, you’d earn 2400 points, not 4000

  If they bother to analyse UK spires. There are very high numbers of spire in China and they’re all staying domestically since they can’t leave (though it is a huge country after all)

QQ re Future Travel Vouchers

I have an FTV worth 8,750 Avios & £95 from a redemption I cancelled.

I know I can book a more ‘cheaper’ flight and get change, or a more expensive one and top-up with more cash/ Avios.

Can I instead use it towards a cash booking of £95, and get just the 8,750 as ‘change’?
