Be warned: I know Revolut is also pretty bad but Starling customer service is truly awful.

Presumably you can redeem on WhatsApp too?
Isn’t it widely published that it’s no applicable on anything but VS metal?

It’s also dubious to suggest that 75% of the world has as poor a human rights record as Dubai.

Absolutely none of the restaurants. You’ll get much better than any of them spending £20 on a decent cut of 30-day dry aged côte de boeuf from a proper butcher (or even the branches of Waitrose that do real in-house dry aging) followed by either 1 hour @ 52C in a sous vide or reverse sear in an oven followed by any half decent charcoal grill to get a decent crust.
London restaurants will serve you worse quality meat, definitely worse cooked and with an absurd mark up.

Yeah the moderation filter is very sensitive at the moment and it seems to take a long time to be dealt with if at all.
You’ve got a short window to edit and then the button disapears.
True. That’s a somewhat bemusing decision.
There’s also a bug where if you have texted selected in the reply text-box and then click any of the “QUOTE” buttons, it messes up the reply you’re already written. I don’t know whether this is specific to these forums or just an ongoing issue with BBPress.

A question for the HfP team: why don’t I get a notification when someone responds to my posts, like in any normal forums??
Because they made the conscious decision to not use tried-and-tested “normal” forum software.
I hope they can implement email notifications when someone replies to a thread you’re subscribed to.
Very basic feature of basically every forum I’ve ever used.
Yep.
@Rob, are you planning on pruning these threads every year? If not, you may want to consider suffixing the year to the title to avoid confusion when using the search function in the future.
And to avoid ugly slugs and to allow manual browsing to threads instead of relying on dodgy search algorithms.
Looks like anyone can post new threads in this section… should we have a meaningless competition for who can be the first to post a new chat thread every midnight?
Yep, agreed that perms should be tweaked.
Perhaps some of these should be in the bugs thread though?

It seems to not be used in this implementation of BBpress. I expect there is functionality to use it if desired but agree it’s a superfluous UI element in the current version of this forum.

Email addresses aren’t case sensitive (neither are URLs for that matter).
This is factually incorrect.
URLs can be case sensitive depending on the webserver software. All levels of the domain (from TLD onwards) are case-insensitive but plenty of URLs are case sensitive.
Because of this the domain part of an email address is always case-insensitive but, as per RFC 5321 2.4, the local part of an email address can be case sensitive.
If someone has advised you otherwise I would worry about their technical competence. And given that knowledge of RFC 1035 section 3.1 and RFC 5321 section 2.4 is very well-known, any developer that thinks email addresses are not case sensitive is unlikely to be technically competent enough to write secure public-facing software.

It’s cos they are using this dodgy non-standard bbPress software. It is an odd design choice for sure.

What URL are you using for these TOS?
cinereus
It’s always been like this and logically that’s the only way it can be.

If you don’t have a reference of the correct format then contact Randox to get it. As others have said, any reference that is not in the required format is not your reference number you use on your PLF.

Hi JDB, I assume based on recent posts that you work in Financial Services, you seem to have a good understanding of how these things work. I am really interested in your advice about how we should structure our claims (FOS or otherwise) with Creation. I’ve had my annual fee refunded but I am still owed a large number of points that are being withheld, plus I had hit the 10k spend for the free night since my last anniversary. Do you think it’s worthwhile pursuing? and what angle would you take?
Same as any claim. Simply cite the relevant principles and legislation and it’s all common sense logic from there.
I wouldn’t hold much hope for the FOS having enough balls to do anything. Be prepared to have to submit a proper skeleton for MCOL.

The URL is always the same. Like I said you can just go to the Forums URL whenever you want.

Will I receive ‘Forums’ each morning with your other 3 topics or do I have to search somehow ?
What do you mean? You can just go to the Forums URL or use the Recent Topics link.

I would recommend not visiting a country with such a poor human rights record.

Member of Staff.
The post from yesterday has now appeared – presume you got to it in the moderation queue.
Not following why password is an issue? I can post fine as long as I don’t use that word.

I meant the big ones – £200 and £400. There’s always many many more of the smaller two available.

1.25% on the Amex cashback very often beats points.
You’ve missed a few other cards:
RBS
Santander
PayPal Business
Barclaycard RewardsAlmost-cashback:
John Lewis
Sainsbury
TescoI think there’s also some Amazon cashback cards.
It’s been about 18 hours and neither of my posts on the cashback cards thread have appeared.

I thought there were tons of options for topping up Revolut?
