I think the styles for quotes could use some tweaks, as it’s hard to visual differentiate between quoted text and the rest of the post.

Right… we’re not all super duper techy buffs, and I get that this is all very new and will throw up glitches and bugs. Could I suggest a ‘How to set up and use’.section for those of us who are pretty useless and only just manage to find the ‘on ‘ button to their devices. I’ve registered, profile? Where’s that? I’m anonymous, so no idea how to appear as ‘me’. As for all the codes at the top of this reply page…. Del, Ul Ol Li ..🤷‍♀️

The anonymous thing is a bug, so you shouldn’t need to change anything on your profile. Just have a bit of patience whilst we try and get it fixed! Hopefully in the next 24 hours or so.

It seems that to stop being ‘anonymous’ you need to go to Account/Edit and then enter your display name as your first name … although that only works on the chat thread by the look of it

I’d also love to suggest a preview feature so we can see the formatted message with BBCode before sending.

For example, I’m curious if this forum software supports Markdown in addition to BBCode, but I can’t test that without trying it.

If I want to italicise something, _just do this!_. For bold, **consider this**.

Finally, assuming the Markdown I try above _doesn’t_ work, it’d be great to support keyboard shortcuts for simple formatting. For example, ⌘B should insert <strong></strong> with the cursor positioned between the tags. ⌘I would do the same for <em></em> etc.

Another suggestion: offer (optional) email notifications for subscribed threads, and allow folks to subscribe by default to any thread they post in.
