Hello forum! Will we get email notifications when people comment on our posts? That’s the one thing missing from the current setup IMHO.

It’s something we’re looking at – we wanted to keep it as simple as possible for launch.

In case you haven’t noticed, everyone is showing as Anonymous (avatars show though)

Some initial feedback:

On the overview screen I can see who last posted

However, on the post itself, the usernames are hidden (but our user image appears).

It also appears that we are logged in to the main website while we are logged into the forum. This causes our posts to go into moderation and appears as if it’s coming from a HfP member of staff.

Also, I just tried to post this but got stopped by some Capcha that took about 15 cycles through. Had to go back in my browser to get this text!

Also, again! This failed to post because I was using the img tag features that are in the WYSIWYG editor here (to show screenshots of the above)… Should remove tags we cannot use! I again had to remove image URLs entirely to get this to post…

Noticed this – no idea why this is happening as it wasn’t yesterday but am looking into it!

Probably because I used a slightly different email when setting up my forum account, than that used on HfP previously (same prefix, different supplier!).

You need to click ‘quote’

I don’t appear to be able to quote anything.

It just doesn’t post.

Also, it’s hard to tell from the replies you’ve posted Rhys where the quote ends and the new content starts.

Thanks Rhys, I get that now for a direct quote. But nothing seems to be threaded or indented in any way? Normally it’s a bit more obvious which post a reply relates to. Very confusing. At least using Chrome on Android anyway.

Good morning, fellow comrades!

OK I worked out that I needed to fill 8n my profile on this forum with my name and email etc but for some weird reason my ID doesn’t show and my chat thread post now just shows my first name instead of AJA. Also it changed to another email address I have not the one I want to use (I think that may be my phone taking over),

Edit (like that feature!): it now shows my post here as anonymous!
Not sure what I’ve done wrong.

In the backend I can see your profile is set to use AJA as your display name so that is very weird!
