UK Passenger locator form won’t accept test booking reference

Hate this form. Makes it difficult for a UK citizen to enter their own country.

Anyway, after the first 50 pages of filling information in, I’ve now been told that I need to provide the reference number for my testing package.
    Enter that and get told:

The booking reference does not appear to be valid. Please check with your test provider and confirm

Any ideas? No issues like this for the other times I’ve filled this form in.

Many people wrongly try and enter the code from the sample tube. The correct reference will be on the email confirmation you got when you ordered the test.

OK, entered an old ExpressTest code with more letters and digits and that worked (5 letters, 7 numbers). Not any of the Randox ones I tried, including the one I booked for this purpose.

    There’s no sample tube.
It’s not a home test, but one at a test centre after arrival in the UK.
Seems Randox don’t give you a reference number other than the 3 letters / 6 numbers order number i.e. LDN123456

    Randox code is RANDX1234567

With Randox you should have an email with the subject line ‘Covid-19 Test kit order’ and then a number.

Your order collection code at the top is not what you need. You need to scroll all the way down the page to where the products you’ve ordered are itemised. You’ll see your Booking Reference Number in red starting with RANDX.

Agree with Richard. Had the same issue and it is the RANDX number you need that comes with the email and not the one in the box. You need the code on the actual test box when registering your test with Randox on arrival in the UK. Hope that helps.

There is no Randox reference in any email from them.
Even in results from previous tests, other than a URN number and the order number, nothing.

ExpressTest and Collinson have the correct number in their emails.

Just checked my email and it’s on the confirmation email that comes from Randox and says ‘Thank you for your order’ and shows the order number. At the bottom it shows what kit you ordered and below that it has the RANDX numbers highlighted red. I got a few emails and had to look a number of times to find them. Hope that helps but if not sorry I can’t help further.

If you don’t have a reference of the correct format then contact Randox to get it. As others have said, any reference that is not in the required format is not your reference number you use on your PLF.

It should be half way down the page, we’ve had several from Randox and always had the RANDX1234567 format number on the email.

If the number is missing completely then it’s possible you’ve ordered the wrong service. Only the service marketed as the Day 2 PCR test will include the PLF code.

If you’ve ordered something like a Fit to Fly, then speak to Randox, they might change it or refund you.

Also bear in mind that you can save yourself some money by ordering a click and collect kit, picking it up, taking your own sample outside, and then dropping it off immediately. I did this at Randox Heathrow last Monday at 1:45pm, test was at the lab by 4pm and I had a result by 12:45am.
