Give it a few days for things to show. You have time as your booking is way ahead. Then call them if you still have to. Personally there may still be other changes so for May I’d probably not even call as early as Feb.

Thanks LL, one trip is in March, the other one in July. Using up 241s and avios then we’ll probably move to Virgin/Qatar for long haul! Phone time waits don’t sound to be getting any better but I have had success using Twitter over the past year, as long as one doesn’t mind waiting a few days between responses!

Definitely. The B lounge is much less of a zoo. Walk or transit is fine, I’d walk it all, very cool and pleasant in the tunnels and good for a stretch before flying.

This is normal. We’ve de-activated nesting in the forum.

In the next few days we will merge the ‘reply’ and ‘quote’ buttons so there is only one option – to quote a reply.

Quote button does work, but (at least for me) if you’re replying to something further up the page you’ll need to scroll down to the reply text box where you’ll see the message quoted.

If you only want to reply to one part of it, you can edit the test between the [ quote ] and [ /quote ] tags to remove the bits that aren’t relevant.

It would be a nice feature enhancement to automatically scroll down to the reply box when clicking “quote” on a message.

Also since there was nobody down there it was a nice quiet place to stretch my legs and take my mask off for a little while without being outside in the cold and rain. There are 2 sets of 4 chairs between B and C gates.

Gotcha it’s not as intuitive as VB so I couldn’t tell it was actually quoting in the reply box right at the end.

The button to the right doesn’t show for me, I’m guessing it’s not meant to be a white box with no text, but perhaps a cache issue on my phone.

Use BA’s Chronomics link and the price reduces to £61.74 🙂 (No need to be flying BA)

You need to use the ‘quote’ button if you want to reply to someone.

Design suggestion – please more clearly link the date/reply/quote part to the body of the forum post below. At the moment they could refer to either the post above or the post below. Many other fora have the “Reply” and “Quote” buttons under a post, not above it, (as does the HFP comments!), so perhaps there’s an argument for moving the reply/quote button underneath the post anyway…

What’s the “reply” button for if we have to use “quote” to write a reply?!

It seems to not be used in this implementation of BBpress. I expect there is functionality to use it if desired but agree it’s a superfluous UI element in the current version of this forum.
