Thanks – got the change email on Friday so getting on for 3 days now. I’ll give it a big longer, plenty of time till the outbound date fortunately!

    SamG

Did you accept the rebooking? Sounds like it may not have been reticketed/validated

    Aliks

Looking forward to seeing the best and latest information, all in one place, all searchable!!

Looks like anyone can post new threads in this section… should we have a meaningless competition for who can be the first to post a new chat thread every midnight?

I hope they can implement email notifications when someone replies to a thread you’re subscribed to.

Very basic feature of basically every forum I’ve ever used.

    Data point on passport times:
Used paper form check and send on 19th of Nov, a Friday so held until Monday in the safe at the post office. Out for delivery today. So 24 days / 21 days depending on the sent date you use

Rob / Rhys: No idea where this should go

This has been on the BA website since the extension.

“Your new trip booked with your voucher must be fully completed by 30 September 2023 (departure and return).”

Waiting for all the Creation and Virgin spies to register to keep up with what’s going on in our community.

Not a spy. I missed out on the whole ernie/bendy/solihull deal. I read the pages everyday and the code words were effective. I would see them and just ignore them.

    Andrew.

There won’t be another Monday 13th December until 2027.

    Yes, good to be here.

Amazon visa creditcard £20 credit still working. I removed all the cards last week and added only a visa credit and today they have a thing on check out saying:

Get £20 the first time you add a debit card, Mastercard or Amex as default. 😀

It has taken about a week to show up and I did order something on the Visa (not to trigger it, but needed to buy something!)

    can

It didn’t work for me 🙁 I waited for two weeks…

Here’s a link that might work for other people rather than waiting for it to show on your account: https://www.amazon.co.uk/b/node=27065173031

Probably a stupid question but I’m flying to Portugal on a Monday at 17:30 and my return flight is on Wednesday at 10:30, can I use my departure test as my return test if I do the test on the Monday?

Yes – See https://www.gov.uk/guidance/coronavirus-covid-19-testing-for-people-travelling-to-england Taking your test before travel

Thanks JDB, when you go to actually apply for a FTV it still says April 2023 on the cancellation page!

We have about 3-4 hours to kill at Heathrow T5 later this afternoon/evening before a flight which seems to depart from C gates.

Bit of research suggests the thing to do might be to head to the B Lounge via the transit system and then walk through the tunnel to get to the C Gates.

    Is that what you’d do?

    davefl

I had 7 hours to kill yesterday. Take the lift down to level -4, walked all the way to C to relieve the boredom and then back to B. Spent about 5 hours in the lounge there partaking of BA’s wine and then walked back to A for my flight.

Tip from the lounge dragon (who was really nice) – Dont get the train back to A at any point as you’ll end up in arrivals and not departures, go back via the tunnel.

Never more than 20 people in Galleries South all afternoon despite a pretty full load of US flights going out from B. Table sevice very quick – QR code ordering by table number. All drinks, coffee and biscuits are self service.

There’s no facility to accept it, and now I’ve had another cancellation where they’ve moved the long haul leg but not the domestic connection 🙄.
It does say in the email that if I am happy with the changes, do nothing, although that doesn’t help with my domestic leg which is now the day before the long haul flight it was supposed to follow! Also got messages that my seats have been changed (one was a paid for exit row), but I can’t see what the changes are.
I think I’ll just leave it a few more days and see if anything changes!

The reply nesting seems to have come undone.

Thank you for this Forum. Truly excited to be part of this.
I’ve benefited so much from the collective wisdom of HFP’ers. Hopefully I will learn more and perhaps be able to help others too

Cineworld share price looking good at the moment, 45p per share. Yes it has a big debt pile but I don’t think interest rate rises are likely until mid next year at the earliest. Good pipeline of movies for over Christmas, mainly Spiderman no way home and Matrix 4. I can’t see the Cineplex case going against them and UK booster campaign should build consumer confidence to go to the cinema by January.

    Thoughts?
