Norway entry rules have recently changed – any experiences?

It looks like the Norway rules have changed and fully vaccinated UK travellers entering Norway must now:
    – take a test upon entry

Does anyone have any experience reports of doing this?

Not yet, but I’m going to Norway on Friday (KRS via BGO) so I’ll post an update after I’ve arrived. I sure hope it’s efficient as I only have a 55 minute connection!

Thanks. After a bit of googling I found out the following:

    – you need to take a test at the border (i.e. airport). there may be some minor exception such as testing not available at the airport in which case you can go to your hotel, but you must isolate there until you get the test results.

    – the setup at oslo main airport is that there seems to be a single provider – dropin – if you want a rapid PCR test (and not wait 1-2 days in your hotel) at 2500 NOK (thats £200+)

For a short holiday of 4 persons that adds £850 ish to get into the country.

Just a guess – but rules for transiting may be different.

If you are subject to mandatory testing at the airport it will be for free. If the rapid test is positive you will need to take a PCR test. This will also be provided by the authorities. No need to use any private provider. This service is availble or travelers that need a PCR test for their destination.

conspicuous-capybara is traveling to Kristiansand (KRS) via Bergen (BGO). He/she may have an option for being tested at his/her final destination.

I’m 99% certain the tests on entry are lateral flow tests free of charge – there’s no need to pay for them.

I just asked a nice bloke from the Wideroe live chat and he didn’t know how international->national connections work with regards to testing – have now emailed support@entrynorway.no to ask.
