Chile travel woes

Chile started to loosen up, abandoning quarantine and test-on-arrival, but you still have to validate your vaccination status by uploading documentary evidence, and waiting a couple of weeks for someone to approve it.

It looks like there was some kind of computer glitch in the first week in November, as many people reported that they got an email asking for a 2nd upload of the vaccination docs. I got the email on 29th Nov, with a link to upload, and was approved within 24 hours. Wife was in the same boat – status on the mevacuno.gob.cl website listed as “waiting for documents” – but no email and therefore no link allowing the key documents to be uploaded.

Right now we are waiting and waiting, but with diminishing hope. Our flights are on 29th Dec, but it looks increasingly likely we will cancel and take an ftv.

    Does anyone know better?
