FWIW – I think having a daily thread in a forum is redundant.
Dump the daily thread, Fix the reply/quote issue (have only quote), Have the default link take you to recent topics, and you’re on your way.
Have the ability to subscribe to threads, email notifications, skip straight to the most recent unread message when you open a thread, jump to reply box when you quote to reply and you’re on to a winner.
Love the forum but keeping the daily chat thread defeats the entire purpose of a forum IMHO.
Am still unable to convert avios to nectar… the other way has worked before.
I never get the 10 minute confirmation email despite checking both of them have the correct emails and I’ve received offer emails from them in the past.
Any help appreciated?
Ta,Just opened the response from Creation asking for more time to handle my complaint.
Unfortunately they spelled my name wrong and sent the letter to my neighbor despite my name and address being correct on their system.
Another complaint required?

You should look at the Creation Bashing thread

The forum is good (will be better once fully up and running, and hopefully populated with many threads.)
I’m another one who feels a ‘daily chat’ thread in a forum is redundancy, so would like to see this done away with, and folk can create their own threads for deals or whatever, as required.
The site worked fine for years without a daily chat thread (with miscellaneous questions generally posted in the ‘bits’ article) and, let’s be honest, since the gargantuan chat threads commenced, they’re 90%+ filled with drivel (folk saying ‘good morning’, telling us they’re on holiday, etc.) with any useful info being lost amongst the noise.

Data point: I grew fond of the convention for using the “Data point” prefix to warn readers that the comment is of no interest to anybody. (I did use the prefix so you only have yourself to blame if you’re reading this.)

Ba have just cancelled our flights to BKK end of jan returning mid feb. Gutted!
A few posters on here have said don’t keep the chat thread, and I agree. It dilutes the forums, undermining take up. But if there is uncertainty as to whether to kill off the chat thread may be suspend it for a couple of months to see how it goes and get feedback at the end of the trial?
easyJet have put Oct and Nov 22 on sale. 300 euro one way on my dates from Tenerife to Gatwick. No thanks
I’ve managed to move flights to PMI to October half term for £0.00 extra – I know the weather’s not guaranteed like it is in the Canaries but I want to use a chunk of Bonvoy points at the Castillo Son Vida before “dynamic pricing” kicks in!

Almost certainly will. Can get rebooked to Qatar or Finnair via Stockholm (if they extend that arrangement)
