Anyone that missed out on the Virgin salt and peppers at the weekend, and looking for a stocking filler – the cabin crew and pilot Barbies are now available on Virgin Red for 3500 points each.

Thanks – they are available for £28 each from the Virgin Retail Therapy site which I think is probably a better deal… particularly as you can get 10% off with discount code WPAXVHOLS

BA Avios flight in Club World to Sydney (April 22)

Booked flights have been cancelled, if we wanted to get rebooked onto another carrier for the same dates, who do BA typically offer in this scenario?

Slight preference for QF J on 787 (either via SIN or Darwin/Perth) but would take QR J via Doha if QF not possible. Interested in other people’s experiences with rebooking to SYD?

Only downside to QF with single flight number is lower tier points but we’d take that for convenience of avoiding ME transit.

For starters another carrier would have to have availability on your date – aren’t arrivals to Australia strictly limited at the moment?

Sub £2000 tickets on F for CDG-NYC Return on Oneworld

Wrap that into a holiday package and that’s 1000TP’s too!

    Not Long Now...

UK departures only for double tier points I’m afraid…

No, “for starters” they would not as Australia are no longer operating a quota system for arrivals. Plenty of airlines operating to SYD, both now and also in April: EK, SQ, QF, QR, EY, TG, MH etc…

Award availability on other carriers is not necessary as it would rebook as a revenue fare due to original ticket being cancelled by BA.

Australia opened today to various visa holders. We’ve been allowed out and back for about six weeks now. No idea if it includes tourist visas, but if you’re looking to get booking then by the time you head here (assuming some time next year) then things should be ok – even WA are opening up on 5/2.

QR I would assume, since they have a stake in IAG. I was rebooked from BA to QR during the strike in 2019.

EDIT: this is a reply to the post above by MilesOnPoint, I clicked reply too. This forum software sucks!

Thank you @QFFlyer, makes sense re: Qatar and being part of IAG. Keen to avoid CX as situation in HKG too volatile.

Going to sit tight for now and contact BA in the new year

Is this salt and pepper set any different to the one you get when you fly in upper class cabin?

No but not all colours always available. Think red, gold, and purple were all limited editions. Silver and black are standard for Upper and Premium respectively. I may be wrong though.
