+1 would also like to know, both parties are useless and I’m short 100k points this month.

tried the 0333 number which disconnects if you choose to speak to the Hilton team. I did call Hilton anyway for another matter and they advised they can’t assist with CC points.

It’s pretty ridiculous to be honest. The only reason I didn’t get the bonus points was because I stayed at a Conrad which doesn’t have the word “Hilton” in its name so looks like their system couldn’t pick up that it was a Hilton Honors property. On the same stay Hilton themselves also didn’t credit the bonus points due for paying with a Hilton CC under Power Up so pursuing them for that too.

Thinking last two weeks of September – won’t really be doing many “pursuits” – I do ski, but the trip to the Rockies is not intended as a ski trip. Yes to some walking.

Lake Louise would be on the itinerary.

Which brings me back to SF/Vancouver/Rockies.

So @Go197: what are the best things to do in SF/Vancouver. Hadn’t registered Whistler! Is it really possible in Vancouver to ski and sea swim in the same day. (I’ve also forgotten about Victoria Island)

Vancouver? Depends on time of year, and of course depends on what you like to do. It’s one of my favourite cities but I’d never encourage anyone (except those with the luxury of taking a very long break) to spend too much time there given it puts you on the doorstep of some of the most spectacular and easily accessible outdoor scenery on earth. Give it a couple of days to have a wander, rent a bike, try the food, go up the highest building, and then get to Whistler, Squamish (inc sea to sky gondola), Kamloops, Revelstoke. I could spend a lifetime in BC and not run out of things to do.

Sadly the train from Vancouver to Whistler stopped many years ago, but the Sea To Sky highway is a very nice drive. If it’s your sort of thing, there are some magnificent private accommodation eg airb’n’b in the smaller towns off the highway, eg horseshoe bay and howe sound, wilderness cabin type things on the waterfront backed by forest.

I have to go now. I suddenly have to plan another trip to BC.

Shout out to Hilton London Kensington. Had a non-refundable room booked for this Friday’s office Xmas party that has since been cancelled. Rang the front desk this morning, explained the situation and they have refunded the booking in full, immediately to my card, no questions asked or arguments.

I’m a happy chap this morning! Got BA flights to San Diego in June. Just checked seat map to find that aircraft is now A350-1000 with Club Suite as opposed to 777 non-suite!

Any tips on how to avoid paying a staggering £380 (two of us) for pre-assigned seats!

Why pay for seats on a plane with CS?

Someone mentioned a discount code for the Halo Day 2 testing at Sofitel the other day. I tried searching for it, but it keeps bringing up completely unrelated topics (?). Does anyone know what the code is please? Thanks

You can see it from the seating plan – if its 1-2-1, then it’s Club Suite if it’s 2-3-2 it is old seats. Looks like you are in luck!

Anyone that missed out on the Virgin salt and peppers at the weekend, and looking for a stocking filler – the cabin crew and pilot Barbies are now available on Virgin Red for 3500 points each.

Is this salt and pepper set any different to the one you get when you fly in upper class cabin?

Not sure if this has been discussed before, but….

The Android version of the NHS App now supports saving your COVID pass to Google Pay. The iOS version always supported Apple Wallet, but Android users previously had no option to get an offline pass except for saving the PDF – which isn’t formatted for mobile use.

Yeah I believe this changed a few weeks ago.

Really miss the nesting! Failed to follow anything today in Chat, and not replying to questions because its unclear whats already been said. “Quotes” of the same Q over and over are really off-putting.

    Travel Strong

Just tried to answer a Q and it failed. Lots of quotation junk in the reply box, then 2 rounds of I am not a robot / recapcha the traffic lights – and then nothing.

Which is the best covid travel insurance that offers accommodation if I test positive while in the USA? Also, does the Amex Biz Platinum insurance cover this even if I haven’t booked the flight/hotel tickets using the Amex? And lastly, how much accommodation is included and is there usually like a max per night hotel cost that is allowed? thank you! my first query in the new forums and hopefully it goes through fine

Finally reached 200k avios! 2 and a half years since I started collecting. Got 20k Nectar, half way to a 241 and OH has 45k MR on her account so we can get to Australia when it finally opens. 40k HH and 80k IHG, thanks HfP collective 🙂

Amateur by some standard but just an average guy and never gone too far out of the way to get points, other than retention bonuses!

Any new system requires time to settle in and it is only Day 2 since the launch. We need to give Rhys a chance to iron out the glitches. I imagine moderation is only needed if the rules set out in the Housekeeping section have not been followed. A lot of work has obviously gone into setting up the Forums and a lot of readers of HfP asked for forums, good searching facilities, and so on. All I am saying is give Rhys a chance!

Another “BIG” thank you to HfP; I’ve just made Diamond on HHonours following the “rollover nights” etc! 😊

BA Avios flight in Club World to Sydney (April 22)

Booked flights have been cancelled, if we wanted to get rebooked onto another carrier for the same dates, who do BA typically offer in this scenario?

Slight preference for QF J on 787 (either via SIN or Darwin/Perth) but would take QR J via Doha if QF not possible. Interested in other people’s experiences with rebooking to SYD?

Only downside to QF with single flight number is lower tier points but we’d take that for convenience of avoiding ME transit.

    Shouldn’t you be thanking Hilton?

    Love it.

I do not miss scrolling past pages of arguments about covid and questions about refunds for cancelled flights.

    Go197

I know this has been asked many times, but I can’t track down a previous thread.

If only there was a forum where these things could be better organised!
