I went for Breathe Assured not because it’s cheapest but because I’ve used them before and know I can trust their setup whilst also not paying massively over the odds. For PCR I picked an Express Test arrivals test as I want results as soon as possible to avoid the misery of Christmas quarantine.

Not sure of best value, but I went for Haloverify for PCR-Day2 as I wanted to get results (and stop isolating) as soon as possible). £59

For pre-return LFT I went with Project Screen by prenetics – will be taking the kit out with me to do whilst at the hotel. £19

10 Euros in Athens at Homed clinic including printed certificate.

PCR – Day 2
Had a SimplyTestMe kit posted to me for arrival on return. Royal Mail tracked for £43. Can’t say how good a value that it as will only take test tonight… result supposed to be within 24H once they receive it back.

In Cyprus at the moment, NIPD Genetics 5 euro for a walk in antigen test no appt needed. Remember to ask staff for a certificate to travel in English. There are airport options for 15 euro but I feel it’s better to get it the day before.

The pre departure tests all seem to be around £18. Haven’t found one significantly below that.

Day 2 cheapest seem to be Randox at £35.

Biograd in clinic self swab Day 2 19.99, Liverpool, Manchester and Warrington locations. On 9/12 2 10am swabs neg received midnight and 2am.

C19testing seem pretty good. Used them for two trips including predeparture lateral flow and day 2 PCR. Fair value but excellent service, very responsive to queries. Mailed day 2 tests on Thursday, received results (and released from isolation) Friday evening.

Absolute best value for lateral flow return to UK…..Madeira provides them free!

Cheapest for us was Randox Click and Collect
Day2 PCR £34.99
Pre Departure LFT £18.95

LFT worked fine for departure (certificate uploaded to Verifly for manual verification) and we took the Day 2 test as soon as we arrived on Saturday. We dropped in the nearest dropbox and had the result (negative) in just under 13 hours from dropping.

My wife used simplytestme. test arrived yesterday, via dhl, although she arrived back on Sunday so that’s a little frustrating.
Easy to use and I dropped it off at PO yesterday. £34.99
