Free night certificate, does this count as a night towards status requirement?

It will show on desktop site. You need to click on the points breakdown on the account homepage. Then in very small print at the top it will show. It will initially just state how much more till Gold status, but thereafter the free night.

Anyone know how you go about topping it up for redemptions of up to 40k? ie. Beyond the limit of 25k as used to be the case?

I believe that will be an option from 2 January.
