Get £50 Amex cashback on a £500 Bond Street spend – capped at 2,000 people

We have dropped this in as an extra Friday article because it is limited to just 2,000 people and, if we left it until the weekend, quite a few people may have gone out spending without registering for it.

American Express has launched a cashback deal with a large number of Bond Street stores.

The deal even has its own glossy website – click here.

American Express Bond Street cashback

It’s a simple offer. If you register your American Express card and spend £500 across participating Bond Street stores by Christmas Eve, you will receive £50 cashback.

If targetted, you will see the offer under the ‘Offers’ tab on the Amex app or on the statement page of the website. Remember to save the offer to your card and to check for all of the different Amex cards you own.

For once, the wording is very clear – cumulative spending £500 across multiple stores is perfectly fine.

The offer is restricted to 2,000 registrations. This is a tiny number, even if the offer was exclusive to HfP readers, which it isn’t.

Note that not all Bond Street stores are taking part so check out the list carefully. The Fenwick department store is included. Louis Vuitton is not (unsurprisingly, given their ‘no discounts’ policy) but Gucci, Chanel, Prada, Mulberry, Smythson, Ralph Lauren, Rimowa, Tod’s etc are all there.

This offer would double-up with the sales

Whilst the offer ends on Christmas Eve, you should remember that most designer brands start their sales a few days before Christmas.

This could give you an opportunity to pick up a sale bargain with an additional discount.

You can find full details of this offer on the Bond Street website here, but you must register via the American Express app or website.

I have a £20 off Fenwick (£80 spend) that is also applicable at Bond Street.

Presumably, a £500 spend would therefore trigger *both* cashbacks (i.e. £70 total)?

  • Paul says:

Rather save £450 and not buy crazily overpriced designer brands!

    • Dominic says:

To be fair, and I only discovered this recently, certain items hold their value surprisingly well (ladies handbags, from what I gather).

Assume it is like a watch, though… choose wisely.

      +1.

Only once visited Bond Street as a buyer, OH wanted a Tiffany’s something for her 50th.

Instantly felt out of place by obsequious security guard ushering me in to deep pile carpeted posh showroom where I was greeted by a beaming saleslady. No prices visible, and my frowns when asking prompted the question, “What exactly is your budget, Sir ?”

My response prompted a hasty, “You’ll be wanting the fourth floor, Sir” and I was directed up the side steps to the garret where I bought my first and last overpriced designer brand.

OH was happy and I didn’t mind being reminded of my proper place in the universe 🙂

    Bond street in which city?

  • gasman says:

Not on any of my cards. Has the max been reached already?

  • Track says:

2,000 subs is hardly enough to cover Centurion members, who be hungry for the deals.

    • BuildBackBetter says:

If you are looking for deals, you are probably not the Centurion customer Amex wants.

      • Rob says:

You have no understanding of how self-made wealthy people think.

Why would someone who has built a pile of cash from scratch through careful stewardship of their business (or someone else’s) suddenly start throwing money away unnecessarily when shopping?

Why does Emyr have a job, booking luxury hotels for the wealthy who want a better deal?

      • Vinz says:

I work for a uber millionaire who eventually didn’t apply for a centurion card because it’s too expensive. Enough said.

  • VINZ says:

    I have a Covent Garden one – spend £50 get £10 back

    • whiskerxx says:

I have one for Bilston market
Spend £5 and get 50p back

      • Biki says:

I think I’d struggle to spend £5 based on the last time I went there. (to be fair that was about 20 years ago)

  • andy says:

Not been targeted unfortunately, shame as I would have used it tomorrow.
At least it gives me another valid reason when I call to cancel my card…

  • Jonathan says:

Not on any of my Green/Gold/Plat/BAPP so assume it’s fully subscribed.
