Not sure where my earlier post went to but I can’t find it so apologies for a repeat. My day 2 Covid test from Chronomics has not arrived (seems DPD have mislaid it). Today was the last day so the window for using it has closed. Can anyone say what, if anything is supposed to happen now, particularly about failure to provide test results. Also, has anyone succeeded in obtaining a refund for tests that didn’t arrive in time?

  If it doesn’t arrive on day 2, use it when it does arrive. The official advice is to phone 119 and tell them. Doubt they do anything other than shrug.

    Interesting. I couldn’t find anything official. I’m reluctant to phone 119 just yet. I think I’ll see if anything arrives tomorrow

Anyone spotted a rapid PCR turnaround for day 2 arrivals yet? Something around 3-4h or even same day instead of next day?

  Just booked with The Regenerative Clinic in Marylebone (they also have a facility in Canary Wharf). £99 for same day results, by 11pm. All handled very efficiently including reference for Passenger Locator Form. They have a 3 hour option too, but it’s v expensive.

  Collinson tweeted yesterday that rapid PCR tests apparently do not qualify in their current form with government criteria so unless that changes, I doubt any provider will be able to do the ~3 hour turnarounds. Don’t know how same day turnaround tests would be classified but I guess we’ll find out soon enough

    A bit odd. I guess it’s to do with the sequencing. That shouldn’t affect your positive/ negative result, but does affect the Test & Trace requirements for your contacts.
