  Since the BA Exec club improvements (13 Nov), has anyone booked American Airlines on avios? I cannot see ANY AA flights on avios, yet BA seem unware of any issue when I contacted them

      Excellent news. I had called BA 3 times over last 10 days, with different responses: the first said it was being fixed, but the last two were unware and one said they assumed AA hadn’t released any flights. So good to know they do have it in hand….and there is a solution, which is even better

  How much should a taxi be from dubai to abu dhabi? Uber price estimate site says its like £100 from the Conrad?

  Also, first time to UAE, is there anything I should do/go to that doesnt show up on google results for ‘things to do in dubai’? 🙂

  Up to you whether you think it’s worth investing this week, but bear in mind vanguard can take a few days to process buy orders for funds. Might be a bit quicker with ETFs though – I haven’t brought any from them.

    From what I’ve read Gold drop boxes are definitely collected more than once per day and the result comes back by 9am next day if it’s in by 1pm.

      Have Randox removed the Golden Dropboxes? When I bought my tests on Saturday the web site said “For samples dropped before 1:00pm in a Golden Dropbox + location, we aim to provide next day results by 9am. Any samples dropped after 1:00pm we aim to return by 11:59pm the next day” and the map had a section for Golden Dropboxes (with 4 locations?) but now I can’t find any reference to them on the Randox site. Am I going mad?!

        Funnily enough when I looked at the map this morning the gold boxes were shown with a gold pin. Now this seems to have disappeared but the are still called Drop Box +

  FOI UPDATE! Curve & NS&I

  I requested all emails between NS&I and curve, and they provided a full response with minor redactions. Emails here: https://pdfhost.io/v/yT2WtvKaF_FOI_20211007

  It is interesting to note:
  – The clampdown at NS&I was started by someone at Creation, Revolut or Virgin, not curve
  – They do not consider it money laundering or illegal, but against T&Cs
  – Curve are sharing all transactions and information regarding NS&I payments with NS&I
  – They are monitoring the ‘blogosphere’ and ‘point sites’ (probably including this site!!)

        Wow! Cringing stuff. I’m sure they didn’t want these emails in the public domain. Funny how desperate Curve are sucking up to anyone and everyone to save their own skin. I think that they’re already on borrowed time anyway.

    Can I just point out that the head of risk and compliance is happy that none of the transactions are illegal or money-laundering (the the latter is obviously illegal so not sure why it’s mentioned separately)?
    I do wonder who Mr Blank is …
