Get €5-€10 of Accor Live Limitless hotel points for joining ClubOpinions

You can pick up some free points in Accor Live Limitless, the loyalty programme for Sofitel, Novotel, Ibis, Mercure, Fairmont, Raffles, M Gallery and other brands, by signing up to their ‘opinion panel’ scheme called ClubOpinions.

The first bit of good news is that this is totally separate to other online research panels, such as eRewards, and so everyone qualifies to join. You will need an Accor Live Limitless account first, of course.

The second bit of good news is that there is a decent sign-up bonus.

ClubOpinions is:

“an online community which lets you collect Reward Points in exchange for your point of view. Our panel is exclusive to members of the ALL – Accor Live Limitless programme, and you can collect Reward Points simply by sharing your views in our opinion surveys.”

What this means is that you will be offered regular online surveys which will earn you 25 – 50 Accor Live Limitless points for completing them. The points will be deposited into your Accor account within five days of completing a survey – you don’t need to build up to a minimum threshold.

This isn’t an incredibly generous earning rate given that Accor points are worth 2 Eurocents each. However, the surveys are mobile responsive and so you could do them on the train in the morning if you choose.

You get a decent Accor sign-up bonus from ClubOpinions

If you have Accor Silver, Gold or Platinum status, you will receive 500 Accor Live Limitless points for signing up and completing your first survey.

500 Accor points are worth €10 off a future Accor stay. If your account is set up to transfer points directly into Avios in Iberia Plus, you would – when you hit the 3,000 points threshold – receive 500 Avios instead.

If you do not have Accor elite status, you will receive 250 Accor points for signing up and completing your first survey.

You might think that you will get 600 or 300 points, because that is what the Accor website is currently saying. The Accor website is wrong, however (and was wrong two years when we last covered this!). Elite members receive 500 points – I joined ClubOpinions this week as a test and can confirm this – and base level members get 250.

For clarity, you can’t join Accor from scratch, join ClubOpinions and earn 250 free Avios. There is a minimum conversion of 3,000 Accor points to Iberia.

Important – earn Avios in Iberia Plus and not British Airways Executive Club

Do NOT transfer your Accor points to British Airways because the rate is worse.

For historical reasons, you only get 0.5 Avios in Executive Club for every 1 Accor point you transfer.

Transfer into Iberia Plus instead and you receive 1 Avios for every 1 Accor point. You can then move the Avios into British Airways Executive Club via ‘Combine My Avios’.

Conclusion

If you have an Accor account, it is worth signing up and doing one survey to get the bonus. You can then decide if the surveys are worth doing on a regular basis.

ClubOpinions also counts as ‘activity’ for the purposes of extending the life of your Accor Live Limitless accounts.

I have signed up a few years ago. Never seem to get a survey to complete – I think it is looking for someone that has a different “profile” to me. Any suggestion’s on what will work ?

    E-rewards at least give you a consolation 25pts when they reject you, their white label rewards for thoughts goes through the same charade then leaves you empty handed.

    I disagree – I find this one takes longer to tell you that you don’t qualify, and when they state “this survey will take x mins and earn you x points”, the time taken is always much longer than eRewards and the points much lower.

      Yet, Club Opinions is run by eRewards. Generally, I pick up around 750 points a month on Club Opinions, quite a few screen outs as well. eRewards on the other hand I pick up about 4,000 points a month with a lot of screen outs and great for keeping Radisson points alive.

      +1 to both Chris C and Phil W’s comments. It was exactly the reason why I did a survey a couple of weeks ago, and it took me ages to find one that wasn’t suggesting that it would take 20+ mins of my time.

        Just logged into my a/c and there were six offers. One of just 3 mins and one of 4 mins.
        
        Reality was a little different – the 3 minute one was no longer available when I clicked through, and the 4 minute one said that it would be about 10 mins once it actually started.
        
        That said, I find both Club Opinions and my e-Rewards->Accor a/c worth having. Being retired there are periods when I have time to do the surveys, and I guess that I have gained some €600,- at least, towards hotel stays, now or in the future.
        To me, that is well worth having.

  You’d need to earn quite a few but it should work. Far easier just to transfer some Amex points to Eurostar though.

Club Opinions + e-Rewards ARE part of the same organisation, now called Dynata. Look at the URLs for the surveys, all at ssisurveys.com, or the bottom of the e-mails telling you you have a new “opportunity”.

  Yes, that’s the fact. Norwegian’s Survey for CashPoints are powered by the same platform but somehow the acceptance and reward rates are better with Norwegian. My partner and I already earned enough points for two return flights to Scandinavia and redeemed them successfully 🙂

That was hard work and not worth the effort in retrospect. Took me 20 minutes to find a survey that was still available and that I was eligible for.
