  Piling in to The Ivy for lunch with big-spending friends, feeling suitably smug, but WITH HORROR cannot find The Ivy (that’s the original Covent Garden one) on The List. Has anyone any positive experiences here – the omission isn’t a glitch, is it?

    Perhaps. might even be because the card machine / merchant account is the same as one of the other Ivys.

    Worked at Novikov Asian Room even though it’s listed as Novikov Italian on the offer (I expected it would but never been to the Italian room so no idea if it billed as Novikov like the Asian room / bar)

        The Ivy and The Ivy Collection are separate businesses – albeit both owned by Caprice Holdings. The latter is the “chain” version of the former.

      The Ivy and The Ivy Market Grill aren’t the same? I too thought there was only one Ivy in Covent Garden.

        No, two. Market Grill is in the market, the other is the original (opposite The Mousetrap).

        We were there last week. Very nice decor and food was great. However, the bill came up as Ivy Asia. FFS. Waiting for the rebate, will give it 10 days then get onto chat with them.

          I had this issue and was in discussion with them about it but it did end up crediting seemingly by itself. Otherwise the helpful brighton person told me to dispute the charge instead!

          I did also try flagging it up with Ivy themselves so it’s a shame they haven’t fixed it

          Wasn’t really impressed with Oxford vs the London ones I’ve been too, service not as friendly and it was pretty quiet & flat on a Sunday afternoon

          Same for me at the Oxford Ivy but there seems a general delay in these rebates: the spend £1 on anything get 50MR points hasn’t processed for me either. Check your bill at the Oxford Ivy too as my server had added on a tip for herself as well as the service charge.

      +1 for wanting feedback for Ivy Oxford. Decided against it this time, instead going to Huton London so little one can enjoy the view whilst we enjoy the food

        Couldn’t fault The Ivy Oxford TBH. Food was excellent, service was excellent and it was very busy. Statement is showing as Ivy Asia so I’ll be keeping an eye on it.

  Travelling to the Far East with Etihad and transiting through Abu Dhabi do I need to download the Al Hosn app before travel, anyone have more information on how easy it is to complete?

    Presumably you could just look at the Etihad website yourself under the transit section?

    I doubt you will need the app as it is a vaccination proof which is not a requirement of arrival or transit in AD.

    You will need a PCR test.

  Qatar has added UK & UAE to their red list. Means if you are vaccinated, you have to hotel quarantine for 2 days, or until you pass the PCR test on arrival at the hotel. 😣

    Yes. code came instantly. My kit arrived last Monday a week before I was due to return to the UK.

    Not using it now though as had to cancel trip so I have code and kit available for future use.
