The HfP chat thread – Monday 8th November

We are running this daily chat thread on Head for Points during the coronavirus outbreak.

Historically, the daily ‘Bits’ articles were the de facto repository for random comments and questions.  With the news flow being lighter, we are running fewer ‘Bits’ articles.

The comments under this article are where you should post questions about travel and, indeed, anything else on your mind.

Please only comment under the main articles on the site if your comment is directly related to the topic of the article.  This has long-term benefits as it keeps the commentary relevant for people who read those articles in the future.

Old chat threads are hidden from the HfP home page.  If you want to look for something in an old thread, click here.  This brings up all the articles in our ‘General’ category which includes the chat threads.

Does the account you have still exist? I have looked every time someone referred to it but can’t find it.

    • jj says:

It still exists as the NatWest Premier Rewards account, but the terms have tightened since I took it out. You know need an income of £100K/£120K single/joint and there’s a £2/month fee. On the upside, you earn £150 for switching.

  • Andrew says:

Excellent. Abingdon and Aylesbury on the list.

    • Reney says:

Aylesbury Extra, not the other one! They had Christmas Tesco gift cards that comes with a bonus £5 that can be used in January. Don’t forget you get Tesco points there when buying Tesco gift cards.

  • Andrew says:

Any valid card details you like.

  • Cranzle says:

BA Holidays & Double Tier Points – if I book Flights + Car, but the car only for one day, will I still get double Tier Points?

  • Backpacker says:

That is an interesting wildcard, and I’m checking it out now – interesting.
    Many thanks!
