We are running this daily chat thread on Head for Points during the coronavirus outbreak.

Historically, the daily ‘Bits’ articles were the de facto repository for random comments and questions.  With the news flow being lighter, we are running fewer ‘Bits’ articles.

The comments under this article are where you should post questions about travel and, indeed, anything else on your mind.

Please only comment under the main articles on the site if your comment is directly related to the topic of the article.  This has long-term benefits as it keeps the commentary relevant for people who read those articles in the future.

Old chat threads are hidden from the HfP home page.  If you want to look for something in an old thread, click here.  This brings up all the articles in our ‘General’ category which includes the chat threads.

New territory for me; what happens if we add a hotel or car hire to an existing flight only redemption booking via MMB? Does it then become a BAH and if it does then what are the implications for flexibility in normal times outside BWC concessions? Is it even worth considering, that is does adding the hotel or car hire in this way attract discounted or the usual standard rates?

    • Harry T says:

I believe it does not become a true BA package holiday if you book this way.

      • BJ says:

If so then I guess it remains essentially just a basket of items, each with their own terms. In turn probably also means no cost advantage in doing so.

Can Morrisons gift cards be used online?
    Thanks.

    • PK says:

      For groceries I mean.

    • BJ says:

Yes but it is not straightforward, I think you still need to call or email to apply them to your account. Just Google use morrisons gift cards online or search their own help pages as the answer is there.

(sorry for putting in another ‘Bits’, put it in the wrong one at first)

    Hi all.

You may all already know this, I did not.

Apparently the Qantas LHR T3 Lounge reopens at some point December. Per the Qantas webpage:

“ Until our lounges in London and Los Angeles reopen in December, eligible Qantas customers will be able to visit the British Airways T3”

    • Liam says:

Good spot, thanks. I wasn’t aware of that either (and I’m as interested in how it relates to LAX as I am about LHR).
