What the heck has happened to car hire prices in the US? Avis and Hertz at least double pre pandemic prices. Limited selections too.

  All the car rental companies have let their fleets shrink as leases that have come to an end during the pandemic have not been replaced at the same rate… less supply and now more demand…

  Same in a lot of European countries too. We paid £500 for a golf for 2 weeks at TFS in August, but the family in front of us who had turned up without a booking were being quoted 1000 euros for 5 days!

Anyone been able to book on BA.com using Avios for Qatar London to Adelaide via Doha for mid-Feb 2922? BA website said no flights, even though flight can be booked on Qatar, without Avios, no problem.
