We are running this daily chat thread on Head for Points during the coronavirus outbreak.

Historically, the daily ‘Bits’ articles were the de facto repository for random comments and questions.  With the news flow being lighter, we are running fewer ‘Bits’ articles.

The comments under this article are where you should post questions about travel and, indeed, anything else on your mind.

Please only comment under the main articles on the site if your comment is directly related to the topic of the article.  This has long-term benefits as it keeps the commentary relevant for people who read those articles in the future.

    Hi All wanted to get some thoughts on my situation below and see if there’s any other option than having to take a refund.
    Bought flights LHR MSY on 29 September 2020. Flights were for 9th Feb 2021 coming back 24th Feb.
    BA cancelled this flight as they have been doing for the past year. I rebooked it for flighing out on 2nd May 2021 coming back 21 Jun.
    Then they cancelled my rebooked flight and I left the booking alone.
    I’m now trying to rebook the flight for 17th November 2021. I called up the contact center yesterday and was told since the booking has been purged/expired I can only get a refund or voucher. Not a rebooking.
    Are there any policies in my favour here or am I out of luck? Flights are about £150 more expensive now so would much rather the rebooking.
