My seat alerts for MLE from SeatSpy started pinging and I couldn’t believe my eyes!! Already snagged one a few weeks ago and tempted by another.

  • Andrew P says:

And Mauritius! We are in the Maldives now, if only I could share a photo!!! Cinnamon dhonveil. It’s really lovely, we needed a pcr before leaving Uk (96 hours) filled in one simple form online, uploading a photo of the test, and vaccination certificate. On arrival it is all linked to the passport, and we were out the airport in 30mins.

    • Blenz101 says:

That form is far from simple! Don’t forget you need to fill in almost the same form again to depart!

  • DZOO says:

I thought there had been some announcement of a heightened quarantine requirement or similar… very unusual!

  • chris says:

Just snagged a ggl space available upgrade to first in November. Only 2 rows of first on the sat maps so it might be club suites in business for those thinking about it.

    • Sam G says:

yes they’re on the 8F / 76 CS 777-300s so it’s not too surprising they’ve got some space up front to fill!

  • MJ says:

Booked two seats using companion voucher for January. Seat map looks like club suites

  • Anna says:

Could this mean that either the UK is about to go into lockdown, or the Indian Ocean territories are going to bar us, and BA is trying to rake in some cash which then can’t be recouped without a 3 hour wait on the phone?!

    • Anna says:

NB, just bitter as can’t go away at Xmas!

    • Andrew says:

The U.K. won’t go into another lockdown, that’s like plan Z and we’re not even on plan B yet.

      • Tariq says:

Problem is, half the population are baying for it, and the other half don’t trust the bedwetting bastards in Downing St not to piss the national bed again…

  • Benilyn says:

BOOM thanks Rob! Can now fly direct vs indirect with EK (which I wouldn’t mind but with a baby so direct just easier I reckon)

  • Lee says:

Realistically how many countries in next few weeks will remain open to uk travellers if the covid numbers continue in this fashion ?
