  I was looking for ATL-MAN one way reward flight in Premium for early December but there is NOTHING NADA….do you think they have pulled the flights to sell for cash??

  Still some LHR availability but not much.

    Reward seats area not guaranteed on Virgin. That’s a big reason why the reward program it’s not as good as BA. If they can sell for cash instead, of course they will do

  I have a BA Companion Voucher expiring August 2022. Planning a cruise from Barcelona returning from Rome in September 2022. Plan to fly CE. Can I utilise the CV by booking an Avios flight with CV in coming months then call BA (groan) after 24 hours to cancel and book the open jaw with the CV. I have two other long date CVs for CW trips in 2023.

    You don’t need to call to cancel. You will need to call to use the FTV issued. Yes, what you ask is possible (booking and cancelling to get a FTV with an Sep-2023 expiry date)

    We were quoted 200 euros for the Regent to arrange a car for us! The trains in Germany are excellent and there’s a ticket you can get which covers 2/3 days of public transport plus entry to some museums.

    The public transport tends to be very good in Berlin. I personally just used the train when I last visited.

  Thanks for all the comments re: adding an infant. The gold line answered after 17 minutes just before 5pm, but it took the agent another 35 minutes to sort it. First I had to select a new flight (original was cancelled by BA) and once we got ticketed again, he added the infant. The price he quoted at first was £71. I made a dummy booking earlier and saw the difference between a CE and a CE+infant was £58. Then he quoted £61. The £10 off was some sort of a fee which does not need paying as such action can’t be done online, but he could not tell why the £3 difference. He guessed that there was a difference in my original booking price and the new flight’s price, and the infant was quoted at my original price (at the time of booking). I BTW paid 368 + 10k avios (1 avio = 2p during that weekend) for 2 pax return which translates to 568 / 2 = £284 per pax. Today booking the same flight is £384 per pax. I probably would need to dig into the fare + taxes + charges details to understand the math as it’s not a clean 10% price. But overall the process is quite simple: you need to be ticketed before anything can be added and after an involuntary (yet to be accepted) change, you are not.

    The 10% is of the base fare and not things like most airport fees

    So yoru £3 difference could be something like an airport fee not chargeable for an infant or even a minor currency movement between your original booking and today

    You could do another dummy booking and then delve into the ‘taxes, fees ansd surcharges’ section to pin it down exactly.

  Just found BA has in the last week apparently changed the validity rules for rebooking tickets where BA has cancelled the original booking.

  I have two separate bookings where BA has cancelled the flights. Original flights were due to take place earlier this year, but were cancelled by BA. I rebooked back in March when the flights were cancelled for November and December departures.

  The flights have been cancelled again. I expected that I could rebook for any date within 12 months of new first flight on the booking (as per change announced a few months ago).

  However BA tells me first flight must be within 12 months of reissue date (i.e. by March 2022). The flights up to then are still quite limited. I could of course take a refund but the flights were good prices that I could not replicate now. Maybe I’m being greedy but do think it is a bit poor to restrict the ticket validity when I’m only making the changes because the flights I have booked have been cancelled by BA.
