We’ve run a few articles over the last couple of weeks showing routes where British Airways has surprisingly decent – by usual standards – Avios availability over Christmas.
This is being triggered by BA adding new flights to the schedule, and the ‘guaranteed’ 14 Avios seats on each immediately showing up for booking.
This afternoon I want to take a look at Cape Town.

As long as you can afford the hiked hotel prices, South Africa is one of the loveliest places to go in the UK Winter.
British Airways has been promising additional services now that it is off the Red List and a chunk of Avios availability appeared today.

There isn’t huge amounts, and it is mainly before Christmas, but of course the upside there is that you miss the most excessive days of hiked hotel pricing.
