  Have any UK passport holders this summer driven across the Neum border between Split/Dubrovnik or vice versa?

  We have our Covid tests and forms filled ready to arrive in Split tomorrow. The Bosnia government website states quite clearly that they don’t need anything if you’re only crossing to Croatia. Yet I can’t find any reassurance from the Croatia government that we’ll be ok (and won’t need fresh tests) when we cross back in to their territory.

    You only need a test to enter Croatia from the U.K. If you’re a British Citizen entering Croatia from Bosnia (or indeed any other European country) you just need to demonstrate you are fully vaccinated. I used paper vaccination letter last week to enter Croatia from Bosnia (albeit at a different crossing).

    You’ll be fine. You’re not even allowed to leave your car in the corridor.
    Keep your vaccination cert handy in case you get a bored border guard.

    I drove between split and dubrovnik pre-Brexit. Obviously lots has changed since then with that issue and Covid. However, at that time, I recall no border infrastructure at either end of the corridor, you just pass straight through with no checks.

    Contrary to one of your other replies here, we actually stopped in Neum for lunch, just for the novelty value of being able to say we’d been to Bosnia too. But as mentioned, I’m talking 10 years ago, and a lot may have changed.

      Yeah that would be highly illegal now and there’s border crossings at both ends with massive queues during summer. You’re allowed 1 hr max to complete the crossing and must not leave your vehicle.

      Apparently this will all change with a new bridge that circumvents Neum and joins the 2 bits of Croatia next year.

          Then you need to enter Bosnia officially.

          There is a route through Bosnia (the Neum Corridor) that allows you to get between the separated parts of Croatia without having to go through passport control to enter Bosnia and then again to enter Croatia.

    Take the ferry from Ploċe to Trpanj. jadrolinja.hr. Crossing takes an hour.

  Lufthansa have rejigged my sister’s xmas flights to Thailand so that she now has a twelve hour layover in Frankfurt and also has to leave seven hours early which is no good for her really. In one respect it’s good as she can get a refund if she wants one but really she’d like to hold on to the flights as close to Xmas as possible in case Thailand opens up.

  However, she got a message yesterday saying she had to decide whether to accept the reroute but the 10th October or her booking would be cancelled.

  Is that normal? Certainly bookings I’ve had cancelled during Covid I haven’t had to make quick decisions on what to do..

    I’ve had similar with Lufthansa – I messaged them on the online chat for rerouting options, then said I would consider them and revert back once I had made a decision.

    Contacted them again way after the deadline set and asked to reroute. No issues at all.

      Same experience. They will indeed cancel on the date they set, but a phone agent can reactivate the ticket (though they may not be holding seats for you in your booked cabin on those booked flights)

  Does anyone know with Virgin CC upgrade vouchers – if reward availability is only open for first leg of a return can I upgrade that and then upgrade the return leg later?

    Yes for sure – have done regularly. Virgin seem to have lots of flexibility with these vouchers as they are applied manually.
    I still have a few ‘half’ vouchers in play!

  Norwegians (double vaxxed) arriving into Edinburgh airport on Sunday 3rd October: do they need both the PCR test before traveling & the Day 2 test after arriving?

  What about a single vaxxed 15 year old in the same family?

    Yes they’ll need a lateral flow before arrival and a day 2 test.

    They would need to land on Oct 4 after 4am not to need the pre departure – all under 18’s regardless of vaccine and double vaxxed over 18’s are exempt.

    Day 2 PCR test still required for all until some undefined time in mid October
