Finnair adds two more long haul routes from Stockholm, bookable on Avios

Back in July, we covered Finnair’s decision to start long haul services from Stockholm – going head to head with SAS – as it had spare long haul aircraft.
From October it will fly from Stockholm Arlanda to:
- Miami, from 23rd October
- Bangkok, from 22nd October
- Phuket, from 24th October

Finnair has now decided to add additional US routes. It will be flying from Stockholm to:
- New York JFK, from 7th December
- Los Angeles, from 3rd November
As Finnair is a member of the oneworld alliance, you can redeem Avios on Finnair flights. Your British Airways status benefits will also be respected. Cash tickets will earn Avios and British Airways Executive Club tier points.
Annoyingly, Finnair only shows Business Class reward availability within 60 days of departure so bear this in mind if looking for redemption seats at ba.com.
Finnair has a very decent business class product which is a substantial step up on British Airways Club World. Our review of Finnair business class on their A350 fleet is here. All of the flights above are due to be operated with an A350 – you can see their business class seating above.
Our broader article on how to redeem Avios on Finnair is here and includes the pricing chart for Avios partner rewards.
