The comments under this article are where you should post questions about travel and, indeed, anything else on your mind. At this tricky time, and given that many of you are at home, we want the HfP community to have a place to chat.

Please only comment under the main articles on the site if your comment is directly related to the topic of the article. This has long-term benefits as it keeps the commentary relevant for people who read those articles in the future.

I applied for the BA Accelerating Business card yesterday around 9am and was immediately accepted. The card has just flopped through the door ~ 27 hours later – pretty good. Just need to spend 5k now.

So, that email from QR yesterday declaring “incredible savings are coming your way” and “Visit qatarairways.com tomorrow to be the first to enjoy great savings on flights, and other member-exclusive benefits.”
I can’t see anything relevant on the QR site today.

Anyone know different?

BA FTV query – is it normal for a 2 for 1 booking to receive 2 voucher codes and have the voucher embedded ok?

  The two voucher codes correspond to the ticket numbers on the original booking – one for each passenger. So that sounds correct for an FTV.

How long is the IHG credit card no FX fees offer on for? I never actually received a notification about it, but noticed that a couple of FX transactions I made online have a FX fee saving applied.

  If you’re having to travel to LHR by car, consider going the night before and staying in a hotel with car park. Call the hotel pre-arrival to see if they’ll do you a rate on your car in the car park. In their eyes, you’ll be a guest, which is higher up the charts than punter.
