The British Airways Concorde Room lounges in London and New York, for ticketed First Class passengers, reopened on Wednesday.

Reader Daniel was in the Heathrow lounge and sent a few pictures to show how it has been refurbished (since, ahem, much of the artwork was sold off at auction).

A very petty point. If you do click on the pics to enlarge when you back it returns to the top of the story not the position of the pic. It’s a measure of my boredom that I chose to mention this 🤷🏻‍♂️

Only BA could launch a sale on their holidays and then produce a blank page when you click to book!

Just cancelled my Plantium last month as didn’t know whether this lounge would be open for my trip this month or not…

Most important thing- Have they put any extra sockets in the CCR?

Has Iberia cabin bag size changed?
    I seem to remember it was 56 X 45 x 25 cm but now it shows 56 X 40 X 25cm.

BA still maintain same size as before.

Just spoke to BA holidays as looking to make a booking this weekend. (First time I have called them)

According the person I spoke to – in order to qualify for the Double TP offer one cannot stay at multiple hotels or use the customise trip planner – if this is true (as i have garnered the impression that they may not be fully equipt with the details) it isn’t really a massive issue for me but it is annoying that my return flight leaves just after midnight and I have to therefore pay for a hotel for that night as opposed to checking out the afternoon before (which is possible using the custom trip planner). I asked if this would trip me up for double tier points as the hotel stay ends the calendar day before the flight (albeit a flight only 30 mins into the next day). Again told not possible – retern flight has to depart on same calandar day as check out of hotel.

Has anyone else experienced this? When told it was not possible to stay at more than one hotel or use the customise trip function – I started to be concerend about the accuracy as I am sure I read here that it was possible to at least stay at multiple hotels for the duration of the trip and that using the custom trip function made that possible to book online. Also it would seem odd – given the nature of some holidays not to have the offer of a different departure airport for the return leg. (Again I assume only possible with the custom trip planner or a phonecall to BA.)

He also did seem to just be reading out the T&Cs from the website so I am still hopeful.

I also pointed out that even with the a straight return flight and one hotel for duration it still did not mark the offer as qualifying for Double TP and Firstwing. I am assuming this happens when the flight is not BA operated or starts from an airport other than heathrow T5.. but they just said so long as it is a codeshare it will qualify.

    Any advice much appreciated.

    Cheers

If the phone line queue doesn’t take too long you may be better off calling back and seeing if you get a different answer from a different agent.

  • B Björn says:

CCR should be a haven of peace then. First seats cut by two thirds.
Even with Prems, GGL4L/Concorde Card holders it will be a lot quieter than before.
    Surprised they’ve reopened it.
How long until BA sell access to it?
