  Does anyone know if there is a limit with Amex Plat via Apple Wallet?
  I know Apple doesn’t have a limit but wasn’t sure when using the Amex under it does or not?

    I don’t believe it does, since transactions are authenticated by passcode or biometric means.

  AMEX Rentention offer.
  1. Do they offer anything on the Bonvoy card?
  2. Do they offer anything on Green card?
  3. In asking on gold card, is it advisable to first empty MR point balance?(intent is to receive the retention point bonus).

    1) I’ve tried to get a Bonvoy retention offer recently and failed. TGLoyalty also tried and received nothing.
    2) actually have no idea, but worth asking.
    3) no need to empty your MR account – you don’t have to engage in a Mexican stand off. If they don’t offer anything, you can say you want to not cancel now and take some time to think about. Or you can choose to cancel.

        I’ve only had experience with Plat and I’ve had 130k since last march – my top tip – be nice!

      Same story Harry, I tried successfully for a Plat retention bonus last year and got 35000 MR. Yesterday I tried again and nothing 🙁 I said I would think about it… no intention of cancelling of course! This morning £200 free dinner, on Plat so swings and roundabouts 🙂

  When the amex plat sign up bonus was increased to 50,000 pts, how was this being displayed on the points activity? Player 2 has two rows for the same date, one says ‘referral welcome bonus 20,000’ and the other no description but ‘30,000’ – was it added as two rows like this or was the 50k added as one 50k block?

  We had a number of referrals going on at the same time so Im trying to work out if the referral welcome bonus was for something else and the increased signup bonus is missing.

  Advice Please:

  Just had our Denver flights next week cancelled and have asked for the Avios and cash to be refunded. voucher is valid for rebooking till 31st October.

  Also had an old Companion voucher returned expiry 21st Dec this year.

  with Rob maybe inkling that the 2-4-1 maybe extended I would need it to be for another year, so they may only go for six months, our other alternative is to book a flight before expiry of voucher and turn it into a FFV, not quite sure I understand how that works but willing to give it a go, would you suggest this would be our best option?

    Depends on when you are able to travel I guess, even if they extend the Oct-21 voucher by 6 months would you be able to use it before end of Apr-22? If not maybe best to use the FTV route to extend until Sept-2023.

    I did this a few days back for a 241 expiring June-22 that wanted to use in August-22.

  Hi all, looking for some hotel advice please.
  Am looking to do about 5 nights at the end of Sept, maybe Mallorca, Lanzarote or similar. Just me and my wife for around £250/pn. don’t mind b&b as would like to be walking distance to a town/restaurants but want 5*.
  Would like to fly BA, but I don’t have any hotel points to use.
  Can anyone recommend any good hotels that are suitable for couples (not too many kids or adult areas) please? I do have Amex platinum if this gives better rates or helps

    Currently at the Belmond Reid’s palace in Madeira. 5*, near loads of good restaurants and direct BA flights. Available with BA holidays if that suits. Don’t know what prices will be at that time, but Madeira seems reasonable.

  Are Melia Points worth having? I’m trying to search for an article but can’t find anything.

  Linked in, can anyone recommend a decent hotel/resort in/near Palma looking about £1k for a week (adults only). Was looking at the Victoria Gran Melia, but wondering if there’s a hotel with more activities/ a beach anywhere further out?

    Definitely worth having if you get a Black Friday / amazon voucher deal. Even 2000 miles plus cash gets you a big discount.

    Look at the cost of buying MeliaRewards points vs a cash booking – buying points could be far cheaper.

  Expert medicals is working. Seems to come on about this time on a weekday. I ordered two last week and they arrived here, not fussed about what happens when I send it back tbh – as others have said here if somehow NHS T&T are chasing me they’ll send an NHS one anyway, I’ll have done by bit correctly!

      I can assure you no one will be chasing you – there appears to be 0 link between the private testing providers and T&T, except (hopefully) for positive cases.

        I thought that after day 7, it’s too late to do a self-swab test as per NHS instructions. So if these tests arrive on day 8 or 9 they aren’t detecting much.

      Mine that I ordered 3 weeks ago hasn’t arrived! Do you think if anyone asked I could just show my negative result email from when we returned from Tenerife last month 😂
