We are running this daily chat thread on Head for Points during the coronavirus outbreak.

Historically, the daily ‘Bits’ articles were the de facto repository for random comments and questions. With the news flow being lighter, we are running fewer ‘Bits’ articles.

The comments under this article are where you should post questions about travel and, indeed, anything else on your mind. At this tricky time, and given that many of you are at home, we want the HfP community to have a place to chat.

Please only comment under the main articles on the site if your comment is directly related to the topic of the article. This has long-term benefits as it keeps the commentary relevant for people who read those articles in the future.

Anyone got experience of booking Iberia flights on Iberia.com? Trying to book flights to ACE via MAD and use my BAEC AMEX. However in the drop down payment options it only lists “corporate” and “staff” AMEX. Does that mean I would need to pay with a personal debit card which is one of the other options?,

Whilst not knocking the promotion/offer which looks fantastic, this really illustrates what the ‘Levelling-up’ challenge is, ie everything in this country is so London-centric – Boris ought to adopt this as one of his measures for the success of his initiative.

  Beyond repeating the slogan at every opportunity, there will be no levelling up. How could there be when following Brexit and Covid we are massively more in debt and have a smaller economy than previously expected. The only levelling we might get is levelling down.

  Got higher bonus as well it seems. 40000 Avios for £3000 spend on BAPP and 10000 Avios for £1000 spend on free BA.
