Virgin Atlantic is launching its first ever long haul flights from Edinburgh. It is the first airline to offer direct flights from Scotland to the Caribbean (Barbados) this winter and will also offer flights to Orlando from next year. The downside is that Glasgow flights to Orlando have been scrapped.

Vodafone has followed EE in reintroducing roaming charges across Europe. From next year, you’ll be charged £2 a day to use your allowance abroad, or you can purchase multi-day passes.

Virgin Atlantic could be seeking to list on the stock market – would you invest?

Emirates will be back to 73 UK flights per week by mid October.

Don’t forget you can get 40,000 points and Gold status with the Marriott Bonvoy American Express Card! The offer ends on 31st August.

Marriott Bonvoy has launched a new ‘buy points’ bonus of 45% or 50% depending on how nice they are feeling to you. Article here, buy here.

IHG is feeling left out with the number of brands it operates (Marriott Bonvoy has 30!) and will launch its own as yet unnamed ‘collection’ brand to rival Marriott’s Autograph Collection and Hilton’s Curio.

Don’t want to spend your Hilton points on hotels? You can now redeem them for a number of summer music festivals.
