Singapore Airlines launches flights from Copenhagen to Rome

If you have ever wanted to try the famed Singapore Airlines hospitality and business class seat, you can now do it for far, far less than you imagined.

From 16th July, Singapore Airlines will be flying between Copenhagen and Rome three times per week. This is a ‘fifth freedom’ service which allows it to merge traffic from both cities into one flight in order to make the service viable.

It will use an A350 with 42 business class seats as well as 24 in premium economy and 187 in economy.

The timings are not ideal, to be honest, if you want to do this purely for fun:

Copenhagen to Rome departs Copenhagen at 08.15 every Tuesday, Sunday and Friday

Rome to Copenhagen departs Rome at 08.35 every Monday, Wednesday and Saturday

There are currently some excellent business class deals available for this service. One-way, you will pay £230:

A return flight will cost you almost exactly £400.

The flight time is 2 hours 20 minutes so you will get plenty of time to experience the A350 business class seat:

Does the SIA flight overnight in Copenhagen before doing the return leg to Rome or head back to Singapore direct?

  It pauses on the ground in Copenhagen inbound from Singapore but then spends a night in Rome before heading back via Copenhagen the next morning

The “sale” thing is ridiculous. Booked Antigua in October for 2 adults and a child for 11 nights at St James Club prior to the announcement. Lucky I did as price went up by 2k an hour after the booking. But hey, you can get £200 back!

Regarding the roaming article – I think no-one pointed out that the only network giving both UK dialling tone and UK IP address is Vodafone.

  I thought all the networks routed via their infrastructure so they can control your data usage and make use of any features you have, like those filters.

        There are serious tax issues for the employee and regulatory / tax issues for the employer if staff are outside the UK for a lengthy period.

Hoping someone might be able to give me some advice on how to deal with my current situation with BA booking.

Have 2 business class seats booked from LHR on BA with Avios and a AMEX voucher to Paphos (Cyprus) departing Saturday 10th July. BA have this evening (12 days before departure) emailed to inform me that the flight is cancelled and have offered to rebook me onto a flight on Saturday 9th (just over 24 hours later than the original departure).

Booked a villa over the weekend stupidly assuming they would not cancel the flight after the 14 day window had passed.

If I accept the rebooking to the flight 24 hours later can I still claim for the £350 compensation from BA or do I need to reject the rebooking option and rebook as a new booking?

Does the fact I used Avios and an AMEX voucher impact my eligibility to claim for cancellation compensation?

If I try and get on an earlier flight than the original will BA still compensate me and can I claim for any additional compensation costs. The earliest flight closest to the original is Wednesday 7th July 2 days earlier than the original flight.

Any guidance would be truly appreciated.
