    Wimbledon is running at 100% capacity for the final days. I had an email yesterday to say that (annoyingly for my large legs) the empty seats surrounding our seats will now be sold.

      you would rather have reduced audiences?, covid aside id rather be in a packed out stadium, its all part of the atmosphere – i am one trying for the tickets at 1pm today – perhaps ill be taking your leg room :-)…… ps if happy to take your cramped seats/tickets off your hands….

        If you’re 6’2’+ nothing beats the feeling of attending a seated event and realising no-one is going to turn up to fill the seat next to you 🙂

        I sat in the (unused) press seats on Centre Court once – they have great legroom.

          well, tix were hard to get (for us mortals)… managed to get some no.2 court seats for july3… wasnt as difficult as usual to be fair!

          Luck you. I had 2 x mens semi-final tickets in my basket, filled the credit card details out, then came the dreaded c/c identification password. That never arrived and the booking timed out

          I kept getting a failure because box not ticked….but it was. infuriating.

  If these flights ever launch at all then I doubt they will survive long without codeshares with AA. Hard to see them competing with UA and/or Delta should they get seriously back into MAN. It doesn’t have the market to sustain point to point, even on small aircraft, or services would already hace existed.

    A BA codeshare deal has already been agreed, and once Aer Lingus joins the transatlantic JV they will carry Finnair, Iberia and AA codes too.

    But these aren’t normal times and the dynamic around the route/use of aircraft may have changed favourably. Although not in the short term, hence it being postponed.

    I’m not sure I agree. The A321 is a fairly small aircraft to fill up and NYC is always popular even without onward connections.

    Orlando is not an AA hub so there would only be connections onto hubs that AA/others may already serve direct from MAN.

    Boston I agree may struggle as a P2P.

      As a Manchester lad living in Boston it’s great news this flight is back on the cards. The old AA daily MAN-BOS flight always flew full until AA and Manchester Airport had a dust up in 2008-ish over a fixed time slot and AA took their ball home!

  My wife works for BA, hopefully we will be able to use Staff travel to travel in Business Class from Manchester. Avoids having to travel to Heathrow or to Gatwick.

  Did I see the BA S22 schedule posted here yesterday or did I hallucinate it – very possible at this stage! A coworker had his MAN-MCO with EI canceled and he is looking for the S22 BA schedule so if someone could point me in the right direction I’d be grateful.

  I quite fancy trying Taste, however I have tables reserved at Signature Aberdeen for Richard Corrigan, Daniel Clifford and Glyn Purnell which has rather blown the dining budget until further notice.

  I requested tables for those three in the hope of getting one of them and got the call for all three.

  Rob- appreciate you aren’t an Av Geek (like Rhys?) but you might want to amend the EI article to make it clear that these routes are operated by the A321NeoLR as EI call them.

  Slightly confusing that you call them 321 Neos in one para (which would imply they are similar to BAs NEOs with CE) and in the next as 321 LR (which means decent J seats as you say).

    When Aer Lingus UK is licensed in the US.

    It can’t legally fly in the UK yet either, but in the UK it seems not having CAA approval doesn’t stop you selling tickets.
