  I’m Presuming most Airlines have already been told what to expect regarding travel during July.
  How many HFPs are being told around now that there July flights are dust or are airlines holding out as late as allowed ?

      Frankly we have p’/.ed off so many nations now that even if we could leave plague island no one will let us in

      My easyJet to the canaries in mid July is cancelled so don’t think they’re expecting a sudden release of freedom

        I need my Ryanair to Malaga at the end of July to be cancelled (unless Spain goes on the green list by then but I can’t see it), but I think it might go anyway being that airline!

          Ryanair do fee-free changes still I think, as long as >7 days before departure.

          I thought it had to be same route, but I was able to change STN-OPO to MAN-OPO very easily

          Yes but you have to pay “fare difference” and its been reported that prices mysteriously go up for re-bookings compared with new ones!

          When I tried a Ryanair re booking, the cheaper fares/dates were all blanked out. You could only rebook on to a more expensive flight

  I’m hoping to travel to France next week; I’m double vaxxed, so my
  understanding is that I’ll need an antigen test 48 hours out and then
  the usual amber tests coming back. I’m trying to leave it until late
  this week to book any tests in case France changes the rules again and
  I have to cancel. Here’s my current plan:

  Late this week, book a 1 hour antigen test for the day before with
  Doctap (does anyone have other central London recommendations?).

  Once I get to France, book Randox day 2 and 8 tests, which I can drop
  off at the central London locations.

  Do an antigen test at a pharmacy in France to get back into the UK.

  Do day 5 TTR with Collinson at London City airport (for same day
  results).

  Am I missing anything?

    That sounds right – I’m also going to France next week. As France published their travel rules on 9th June, I wouldn’t think they would change the rules again for travel in June.
    I have not checked about antigen tests in French pharmacies, as I only stay in France 4 days so will use my Thursday antigen test in Heathrow to get back to the UK on the following Sunday.
    PCR tests are free in France, although some of the companies seem to have the foreigners to pay as they do not know which social security code to use for them.

      Thanks! Yes, it seems like the tests in France should be easy, and even if I have to pay the rate is fixed and reasonable.

      I hope you’re right about the rules not changing!

  We also might need to get antigen tests in London – any providers in Greenwich? All the ones I can find are on the other side of the city, realistically it will need to be the morning of the day before we fly so a tight window. Otherwise we might change plans and visit somewhere like Oxford before we travel, Boots are doing antigen tests in various towns.

    Collinson have a walk/drive location in the o2 arena car park. Results usually b4 midnight if taken in morning. Don’t forget BA20OFF code

      Thanks Dave, I was hoping for a quicker result really (apparently antigen can be done in 90 minutes), as we could do with the result before we head off to the airport, and also if we need to start cancelling the flights!

  Randox health tests can be returned using their return boxes or DX – none of which is in a convenient location. Posting appears to be an option but how to do that? Post offices don’t take test over the counter and the return label is DX and not Royal Mail… Can someone recommend a courier that would pick it up from my home perhaps?

    They’ve been back for a month or two now, I did one soon after the May easement date. Be very careful with booking, the site will claim to have availability on every day but suddenly your £1 option jumps to £61 when putting in your card details. If that happens, shift your day one either side and it’ll likely be better.

      Does anyone know what browser works with Europcar. I get through the entire process but it always fails at the payment page. Have tried three different cards in Chrome and Opera but always with the same result.

        Tried from MS Edge too. Just hangs for a second on the same page but won’t take payment. In desperation I contacted live chat who said that it was a website deal and not bookable any other way. When I pointed out it wasn’t actually bookable at all they said the only way to know whether a car was available was to go through the entire booking process and if your payment hangs then that means the deal isn’t really available. Utter joke.

  Hi there.. I just thought I would share my experience with the Amex Regent Street spend £120 and get £20 back. Having spent the required amount in the Apple Store on Regent Street I have noticed that Amex will not pay cash back if you make your purchase through one of the sales advisors on the shop floor. The small print says sales through their mobile devices are excluded. To get cash back you have to purchase from a fixed till. Given that when the store is busy you are mandated to deal with an advisor, this does feel a little underhanded.

    I was at Apple regent street over the weekend and bought an iPad. Although no email to say redeemed when I check app it is under recently redeemed. Not showing in statement but will let you know. They took it on a mobile terminal.

    I think too much has been made of this. It’s certainly not sour grapes as he left IAG on good terms.

    What Willie said is what’s in the company constitution when it was set up. No more no less,

    And this is what he said

    “I don’t think that will happen, but it could happen.”

    They would drop everything else like EI and VY before they dropped BA.
