easyJet launches a covid testing partnership with Collinson

easyJet has extended its coronavirus testing partnership with Collinson. This includes the introduction of a Qured-style product at a marginally cheaper price.

In order to get a ‘fit to fly’ certificate before returning to the UK, easyJet and Collinson are offering their own video testing solution. As with Qured, BA’s recommended provider, customers complete their test via video consultation to verify the result and issue the relevant certification via email.

The headline price of this test is £42, reduced to £32 for easyJet passengers.

Collinson is also offering ‘Day 2’ tests. What I never knew (and if I didn’t know this then you possibly didn’t either) is that a ‘Day 2’ test is NOT a ‘Day 2’ test. It is an ‘up to Day 2’ test. You can, apparently, take it at the airport immediately upon arrival. This sounds incredibly stupid to me, since it won’t pick up anything you contracted on your return journey, but what do I know?

The standard price of £82.50 is reduced to £66 for easyJet passengers. Airport testing is available at Luton, Gatwick (albeit in the APH car park) and Manchester.
