We are running this daily chat thread on Head for Points during the coronavirus outbreak.

Historically, the daily ‘Bits’ articles were the de facto repository for random comments and questions. With the news flow being lighter, we are running fewer ‘Bits’ articles.

The comments under this article are where you should post questions about travel and, indeed, anything else on your mind. At this tricky time, and given that many of you are at home, we want the HfP community to have a place to chat.

Please only comment under the main articles on the site if your comment is directly related to the topic of the article. This has long-term benefits as it keeps the commentary relevant for people who read those articles in the future.

Anyone else clocked this – Andaz London – stay for £50 a night – stack the healthcare works rate with the Plat amex offer – and spend £50 on food.

    I think OP means – some nights go for £100. x2 + £50 food = £250. Net £50/night+£50 food.

Looks like BA have a copy of the green list to be announced tomorrow.

Portugal looks good to go. BA adding extra services to Faro this evening including new weekend flights from MAN and EDI. Should be good Avios availability when released hopefully about 1am if anyone is looking for flights!

If you book a flight using the £1 taxes fees and charges and lots of avios, do you get charged the whole £35 for cancelling? And if so is it £35 to cancel the booking or £140 to cancel an outgoing and return for a pair? Thanks
