We are running this daily chat thread on Head for Points during the coronavirus outbreak.

Historically, the daily ‘Bits’ articles were the de facto repository for random comments and questions. With the news flow being lighter, we are running fewer ‘Bits’ articles.

The comments under this article are where you should post questions about travel and, indeed, anything else on your mind. At this tricky time, and given that many of you are at home, we want the HfP community to have a place to chat.

Please only comment under the main articles on the site if your comment is directly related to the topic of the article. This has long-term benefits as it keeps the commentary relevant for people who read those articles in the future.

Appreciate this is purely speculative, but do we think Heathrow Rewards will bring back the 100% bonus on points conversions to cash vouchers?

  I doubt anything will happen at all with HR until the airport is back to something like normal, but at the same time I wouldn’t be transferring my points without a bonus, either for vouchers or miles, and I’m sitting on 8,000.

    Thanks Rob – agree entirely. I have about 100k due to a few big purchases (I was a premium member), so hoping for a bonus to help offset no more VAT free.

  I just did a dummy booking via the link in Robs article and the 5k bonus miles don’t appear so I’d say no.
  
  Possible they could re-run it.
  
  If you need a hotel then maybe book direct with the hotel on a cancelable rate then wait to see if this offer appears again, then cancel and rebook using RM?

Got new Curve card after old one expired and daily limit slashed to 2K. Anyone had it increased back to 9K? I’ve started putting small transactions from different places on it. But it would be good to know if it is the way to go
