Get a mystery bonus when you buy IHG Rewards points

IHG Rewards Club has launched a new ‘mystery bonus’ for buying points.

Testing it out amongst family accounts, 75% seems to be the most common bonus offered.

We saw numerous offers of a 100% bonus during 2020, so I wouldn’t buy speculatively at this price. None of my family accounts got an offer this high.

There have also been changes to IHG Rewards redemption pricing over the last few days. Some hotels have increased sharply in price whilst other, more expensive, ones have fallen or remained the same. I will do an article on this in a couple of days.

If you are looking to make a cash booking at the moment, however, it is worth looking at whether buying points for a redemption stay is cheaper.

The mystery bonus runs until 3rd May.
