Most people know that you can earn Avios by flying with British Airways or its partners. In this article we will look at ways you can earn Avios by shopping online.
The good news is that booking flights is not the only way to earn Avios. British Airways also has a long list of commercial partners that let you earn the reward points on almost any purchase – from insurance, petrol stations and Tesco Clubcard to a huge variety of high-street shops. To find a complete list of Avios retail partners, head to shopping.ba.com.
To earn Avios on online shopping purchases, you must make sure that you go to shopping.ba.com and click through to your desired retailer there. You will not be eligible to earn rewards from any other cashback sites at the same time, and if you use a cashback link from another site after clicking through at shopping.ba.com you will not earn any Avios.
Different retailers offer different earning rates, with many retailers offering more than 10 Avios per £ spent. Unfortunately, these rates only apply online.
As with cashback sites such as TopCashback, Avios from the online shop cannot be guaranteed. If you use any discount codes it is likely that you may invalidate your points and transactions can fail to track. Treat the Avios as an extra bonus and don’t buy anything purely for the points.
