Last week we published a long article about why it can make sense to book your next holiday via BA Holidays.
Even if you only want a flight, there are price, cashflow and Avios reasons for adding on a dirt cheap hotel or car which you, ahem, forget to use.
BA Holidays has now become even more attractive. The deposit requirements, which were already modest, have been cut further.

Here are the old rates which I quoted in my article last week:
- Package value £300-£999 – pay £150 deposit per booking
- Package value £1000-£2999 – pay from £300 deposit per booking
- Package value £3000-£3499 – pay from £400 deposit per booking
…. and here are the new rates which you can see on the BA Holidays website here:
- Package value £300-£999 – pay £120 deposit per booking
- Package value £1000-£2999 – pay from £150 deposit per booking
- Package value £3000-£3499 – pay from £200 deposit per booking
You have until three weeks before departure to pay the balance. The balance can be paid in bits and pieces over many months if you wish. You can also use multiple credit cards, which is a handy way of hitting various sign-up bonuses or pushing spend into specific card years.
