The HfP chat thread – Wednesday 10th March

We are running this daily chat thread on Head for Points during the coronavirus outbreak.

Historically, the daily ‘Bits’ articles were the de facto repository for random comments and questions.  With the news flow being lighter, we are running fewer ‘Bits’ articles.

The comments under this article are where you should post questions about travel and, indeed, anything else on your mind.  At this tricky time, and given that many of you are at home, we want the HfP community to have a place to chat.

Please only comment under the main articles on the site if your comment is directly related to the topic of the article.  This has long-term benefits as it keeps the commentary relevant for people who read those articles in the future.

Old chat threads are hidden from the HfP home page.  If you want to look for something in an old thread, click here.  This brings up all the articles in our ‘General’ category which includes the chat threads.

Oz/UK dual citizen. Covid tests etc done in Oz, paperwork references Oz passport number. Enter UK on Oz or UK passport (less than six months visit)?

    • Sandgrounder says:

      Just hand both over?

      • Louie says:

Need to fill in the number of the passport which will be used in the passenger locator form though.

        • TGLoyalty says:

It’s which ever passport you wish to enter the UK on.

          • Charlieface says:

Kinda odd, because you don’t need a valid passport to enter as a citizen, so long as you can prove that is the case.

          • C says:

Most countries require passport holders to enter the country on that passport, if one holds it. The US certainly does, and I believe also the UK.

          • Louie says:

@TGLoyalty – that’s the question! Which one to use. Would normally use the UK one but the Covid test paperwork shows the Oz one’s number, so I’m not clear if that would cause a problem.

@C – The UK do not require you to enter on UK passport (Oz does though).

        • Lady London says:

I would go for Oz. no sense in making life complicated. Just be really really sure to exit again using that passport before allowed stay is up.

          • Louie says:

Thank you, LL. Might depend on how many times my rellie gets bumped off her return flight!

  • Benilyn says:

9100 card with Bernie Ecclestone – get through to 3DS, accept the transaction on the App then stuck on spinning wheel, tried twice. My 9000s worked. Anyone else?

  • Sam says:

    • KS says:

      No Uber Eats for me.

    • stevenhp1987 says:

      No Uber Eats unfortunately.

    • Youllnever says:

    • Tarmohamed says:

      • Tocsin says:

      Uber Eats only on Platinum.

1-off 10% sounds meagre though, especially for Plat members.
