Excellent £99 deal at Newcastle’s Hotel Indigo

Our unofficial ‘excellent deal we found on Travelzoo’ series moves on to Newcastle this week.

It is selling an EXCELLENT package at IHG’s Hotel Indigo. The hotel website is here and is pictured above, but you can only get this deal via Travelzoo here.

For £99, you receive:

Indigo Newcastle hotel special deal
  • one night in a standard room
  • full cooked breakfast for two people
  • a bottle of prosecco in your room
  • a 3-course set menu dinner or a £25 credit per person if you want to go a la carte
  • 2pm guaranteed late check-out
  • a 2nd night, B&B, is an extra £60

The voucher is valid until 31st August. Importantly, if you don’t use it, Travelzoo will refund you in full.

There are no black-out dates but there is a £20 surcharge for a Saturday night stay. You are still only paying £119 for the room, full breakfast, dinner and a bottle of prosecco though, which is laughably good.

The only downside is that as you are booking via a 3rd party, you will not receive any IHG Rewards points or status benefits.

You can buy a voucher on this page of Travelzoo here.

PS. The £99 deal at London’s Hard Rock Hotel that we mentioned last week is also still bookable – see here.

Is there any confidence that MH are going to survive covid?

It is at the tail end of what appears to be a successful restructure, so probably yes. It is also owned by the sovereign wealth fund so hard to see them let it collapse completely.

        +1
And I was previously a little concerned about their survival, or merger with a low cost airline.

However, all seems to be progressing well.

Anyone else just get another data breach email from BA? Looks like something with SITA?

Can’t believe they’ve stung me twice.
