Daily Mail refunding people who took out the Nectar subscription deal

Last weekend we ran a special offer for a subscription to the Daily Mail and Mail on Sunday.

For £53, you would receive vouchers to exchange for two months of newspapers, and receive 30,000 Nectar points (18,750 Avios) on top.

The offer had been sent to some people on the MyMail member list, but there was no mention in the terms and conditions saying that it was targeted.

The Mail has now written to those who applied saying that their subscription is to be refunded and that only those who were emailed with the deal will be accepted. Their subscription T&Cs include a clause allowing it to cancel any purchase which was priced incorrectly, so their position is even more secure.

I wouldn’t waste any energy pursuing this with the Mail. Instead, sign up for MyMail and hope that you are targetted for a similar offer in the future.
