American Express has launched a new statement credit offer with Dell Technologies.

It is worth £100 to £150 per year of statement credit on your future purchases from dell.co.uk.  Importantly, this is not a one-off promotion but an ongoing Cardmember benefit.

There is a different offer for Business Platinum and Business Gold Cardmembers, and we will look at each in turn.

Conclusion

The addition of £150 of Dell statement credit is a generous extra offer for American Express Business Platinum Cardmembers.

It is an especially good deal for American Express Business Gold Cardmembers, representing 80% of the annual fee from Year 2 onwards.

Whilst the credit would represent a good discount on a new computer, it is valid against any product bought from the Dell website.  You could purchase ink, toner, a docking station, a carry case, a mouse, a keyboard or a new monitor – amongst other things – and receive your statement credit.

If you were thinking of applying for an American Express Business card, it has just become more attractive.

  • Jonathan says:

I may have missed it but It’s not totally clear in the article, it says up to £75/£50 so is that receive £1 per £1 up to the limit?

    • L Allen says:

The salient comment in the article is “There is no minimum spend required to receive the statement credit”. So, yes, I would expect to receive £1 back for £1 spent up to £50.

  • Andrew says:

Would be good if a retail credit of some sort was added to personal platinum ongoing benefits – similar to the annual $100 at Saks they get in the US. Platinum in the U.K. need to diversify their benefits away from totally travel related.

  • Rob says:

I triggered this last night. For some reason one of my transactions did not qualify and I have no idea which one. However I spent another £50 yesterday on stuff for my daughter, taking my total spend to £305, and the email arrived immediately.

  • TripRep says:

Dell has a flash sale coming up next week for their employee advantage program.

    • Npwharf says:

Thanks for the heads up, was going to buy a monitor today but I’ll hang on until next week now and see if the deal gets better.

  • Tony says:

No link on this on my Bus Plat, also no Paypal offer.

Only some very dubious offers on stuff that no one in theire right mind would have as a first choice.

Made one use of the Donald Russel order though last year – good – but not worth the cost over the local butcher.

They (AMEX) say that it is a business card, so not able to have spend offers, but have plenty of jewelry and fashion offers instead. No logic.

I await the post from Rob telling us what to buy to maximize the return after all the e bay fees and “lost parcel” scams out there. IMHO better to have just given a card rebate. ( or as one lump discount instead of two ) I find DELL over priced but good quality.

Open to advice on how to benefit this offer.

Oh btw does the Platinum One fine Stay discount of £150 stack with the card offer of £200 one fine stay credit ?

  • The Streets says:

You have to register for it in a different way. Rob sets it out in this article

  • Simon says:

Not in my offers which is a bit annoying??
