We have decided to run this daily chat thread on Head for Points during the coronavirus outbreak.

Historically, the daily ‘Bits’ articles were the de facto repository for random comments and questions. With the news flow being lighter, we are running fewer ‘Bits’ articles.

The comments under this article are where you should post questions about travel and, indeed, anything else on your mind. At this tricky time, and given that many of you are at home, we want the HfP community to have a place to chat.

Please only comment under the main articles on the site if your comment is directly related to the topic of the article. This has long-term benefits as it keeps the commentary relevant for people who read those articles in the future.

But I’m sure it’s possible.
Simply because my son paid all he’s legal fees through his solicitor by Amex
But the catch is his solicitor is my cousin. so no problem for him
But what it shows it can be done i asked my cousin
he said it’s not the norm, but a few might if pushed, more of a chance if you come clean with reason, most will think it’s because you haven’t the funds

    Very same sit here, was wondering how we could maximise points earning. No solicitors will take Amex, but have hsbc premier so will use that as much as l can. Will get my OH to open an ac too and get a card, so we can double up on payments.
    Would love a virgin card to transfer points to Hilton, so may apply for that.
    Very frustrating tho, so few accepting Amex though.
