Exclusive ‘3-4-2’ offer at InterContinental hotels

Last year we wrote about two new programmes that IHG has launched if you book via selected luxury travel agents instead of via ihg.com.

The IHG Luxury Collection hotels (InterContinental, Regent, some non-US Kimpton) offer these extra benefits:

GUARANTEED 2pm late check-out
Breakfast for two in the hotel restaurant
$100 of hotel credit per stay
One category upgrade, subject to availability on arrival
Bottled water and fresh fruit or snacks in the room on arrival

The IHG Lifestyle Collection covers slightly less posh hotels, mainly Hotel Indigo and US-based Kimptons. You get:

2pm late check-out, if available
$50 of hotel credit per stay
One category upgrade, subject to availability on arrival
Bottled water and fresh fruit or snacks in the room on arrival

For total clarity, the rate you pay is the same as the Best Available Rate on ihg.com. All of these benefits are genuinely free on top.

There is now a 3-4-2 offer as well

IHG has now launched a 3-4-2 offer as well, which will stack with the benefits above.

The 3-4-2 rate is primarily offered at InterContinental properties but also applies to some other premium hotels as well, including Regent, Kimpton and Hotel Indigo.

This is a very good deal. You get three nights for the price of two, paying Best Flexible Rate, and – at an InterContinental – get all the extra goodies above such as free breakfast, $100 credit, guaranteed 2pm check-out etc.

To book, you need to email our hotel booking partner Emyr Thomas via the form on this page of HfP. You can check pricing in advance by looking at the Best Available Rate on ihg.com, then drop Emyr a note to confirm that he can see the same rate.

You must book by 26th June and stay by 30th June.

For clarity, all rooms booked via Emyr are ‘pay on departure’ and you earn IHG Rewards points as usual.

The Hyatt offer is really attractive. Just priced up Hyatt Regency Dubai Creek and comes in at £50 a night or £1500 for £30 days. They actually have a cheaper offer at £43 a night for 30 days so £1290. Easy way surely to make status if you’re chasing it. Thanks Rob.

  I had a Hyatt booked in February for 15 nights at a very attractive price, but the lockdown put paid to that. My EK flight will now likely be for late October or early November but I’m not sure I’d bother with 30 nights for Globalist, as I already have top tier in Marriott and Hilton.
  
  You’d also need to add on the price of breakfast for an HR (in the dirt cheap Hyatt Place it’s included but will obviously be more basic than the HR Dubai Creek).

I have a few prospective bookings between now and 30th June (and yes I’m realistic about whether these actually happen or not)

I’ll spend a few hours pricing up these rates against my existing bookings and see if it’s worth switching. I know without this 3-4-2 offer the BFR weren’t offering me any value over other rates.

I hope Emyr is prepared for the onslaught of emails!

  Not as of 2020 anyway; never been asked for anything other than the trivial ‘city tax’ at European hotels of <£4 a night. In US hotels never been charged anything except a dreaded ‘amenity fee’!
