Amex launches a new permanent £100-£150 annual Dell cashback for Business cardholders

American Express has launched two new benefits this morning for holders of Business Platinum and Business Gold.

We will do a longer article in a few days, but I wanted to give you a heads up now.

Got American Express Business Platinum?

You receive £150 per year of Dell statement credit. £75 is triggered between 1st January and 30th June, with the other £75 triggering between 1st July and 31st December.

Only the primary cardholder gets the benefit although spending by supplementary cardholders will trigger payment.

You can order anything on the Dell UK site (see here) as long as it is shipped to a UK address.

Got American Express Business Gold?

You receive £100 per year of Dell statement credit. £50 is triggered between 1st January and 31st June, with the other £50 triggering between 1st July and 31st December.

There is no minimum spend requirement. Only the primary cardholder gets the benefit although spending by supplementary cardholders will trigger payment.

This is a particularly generous offer for Business Gold cardholders, since the card is free in the first year.

An important note about registration

You do NOT register for this cashback deal via the usual ‘Offers’ page, because it is a permanent benefit.

You need to register on the same page where you register for the hotel status cards, the free The Times subscription etc, which is here.

TBH I do not think this is a good offer. Better to just have a credit for £150 each year. Don’t know how e bay will cope with all the stuff now going to be sold …..

    Buy something you don’t need, ( or even understand ) get it shipped, spend money on a sales advert, sell it, post it ( plus insurance ), and get some money back.
    
    Ok, wont take too much time, but all the extra faff is annoying.
    
    Can not see how Dell will gain much from this. I received three calls and numerous e mails asking if I wanted to buy more stuff from them. The call center was so disappointed when I told them I just purchased it to sell on.
    
    Better to do a % discount from Dell, and reduce the card fee.
    
    TBH the only “benefit” of my Business AMEX is the Times Sub, that my son now reads instead of the Telegraph … ( A FT sub would have been better )

      It helps Dell because it gets people looking at their website. That is surely one of the key ideas of advertising. Then when you do actually need something electrical they are on your radar.
