According to paxex.aero, which specialises in this sort of news, British Airways has completed the roll-out and activation of wi-fi on its short haul fleet.

British Airways is using the European Aviation Network, backed by Inmarsat.

British Airways BA A320neo

It primarily uses cellular connections on a system powered by Deutsche Telekom.

With passengers now 100% certain to be on a short-haul aircraft where the system has been activated, we can expect to see more promotional activity as BA seeks to gain a competitive advantage.

OT, sorry, but does anyone know about BA’s 31st Aug travel cutoff for covid rules (https://twitter.com/nickhaley/status/1351242739602649091). It states travel must be completed by 31 Aug to avoid a penalty. Does that mean finished having landed on 31 Aug, or simply the last sector taking off on 31 Aug and say landing on 1st Sep? Thank you.

Nick, I suggest you post this in today’s HfP chat thread. These were created every day largely to stop the main threads being cluttered with O/T items – and you may get more response there.

The link to the Loganair website is wrong- should have 2021 in the URL, not 2020!
